Mesa, AZ

PHOENIX (AP) — A Gilbert man is in custody after being linked to a burglary by glasses left at the scene.

Mesa police say DNA extracted from the glasses was a match to 50-year-old Lennie Thomas, who's now facing third-degree burglary charges.

The Swan Thai restaurant was robbed July 20 and police say all the money in the register was taken. The restaurant's owner found the prescription glasses close to the register, where customers aren't allowed.

Police say the owner of the restaurant confirmed that the glasses weren't there before the burglary and didn't belong to any of the employees.
