COOTER, MO (KFVS) - A former Cooter police officer faces a stealing charge after police say he confessed to stealing items from the Cooter Police Department's evidence room.

Zack Martin, 24, of Hayti, face a felony stealing charge.

Lt. Ryan Holder with the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department says Martin confessed to stealing two pistols and a PBT used in DWI cases from the evidence room.

Martin posted a $15,000 bond.

He also worked for other agencies in Pemiscot and New Madrid counties.
