The former chief of the Morganfield Police Department in Union County is sentenced after admitting to stealing evidence.

Craig Bolds was sentenced to three years in prison for abuse of public trust and theft.

Bolds was charged for taking money and guns from the evidence locker room of the Morganfield Police Department in the early part of last year.

He was suspended by city officials last year for two weeks but resigned before he was allowed to return to work.

Bolds pleaded guilty to the charges this past August.
