BOISE, Idaho — A man accused of stabbing a Boise woman to death in 1994 was arraigned Monday afternoon.

Lee Robert Miller, 54, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 49-year-old Cheryle Barratt, who was found dead in her bedroom by a friend.

It took decades to connect Miller to the crime, according to Boise Police. He was arrested in January 2019 after DNA linked him to both Barratt's murder and the 1992 slaying of 57-year-old Marilyn Hickey of Bremerton, Washington.

Miller has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the Hickey case, and is set for sentencing June 21.

Miller is currently held on a $2 million bond in Idaho. He is due in court again May 9 for a preliminary hearing.

If convicted of killing Barratt, Miller could face up to life in prison.
