Man arrested in Sanford had fentanyl disguised as candy, police say

The suspected fentanyl were in the shape of square multi-color pills and resembled children's vitamins and candy, police said.

SANFORD, Fla. —

A Sanford man was arrested Monday after police said he was found in possession of fentanyl pills that were designed to look like children's vitamins or candy.

Floyd Aiken, who had an active arrest warrant out of Seminole County, was pulled over Monday on Bob Thomas Circle.

Investigators said they smelled cannabis coming from Aiken's car and conducted a search.

Police said 435 grams of suspected cannabis, approximately 24 grams of suspected fentanyl, and 11 hydrocodone pills were located inside the vehicle.

The suspected fentanyl were in the shape of square multi-color pills and resembled children's vitamins and candy, police said.

Aikens was arrested for the warrant out of Seminole County and charges of trafficking in fentanyl, possession of cannabis with intent to sell and possession of hydrocodone.
