Waterloo, IA

Waterloo police say 17-year-old Jamar Wise of Waterloo was arrested Thursday and charged with first-degree robbery in the robbery of a Kwik Stop convenience store last November.

Police say three males entered the store and threatened the people inside with a handgun. After they got an undisclosed amount of money, the three subjects fled the store.

While fleeing, a hat belonging to one of the subjects fell off and was left in the store.

Police say the hat was sent to the state crime lab and tested for DNA. The results of those tests led to Wise's arrest.
