A Michigan prosecutor says a new law helped to crack a disappearance in the southeastern part of the state.Monroe County Prosecutor William Nichols says the 2015 law that allows police to collect DNA from a suspect after an arrest led them to Daniel Clay.
He's now charged with the murder of 22-year-old Chelsea Bruck after she disappeared from a Halloween party in 2014.Nichols says police took Clay's DNA earlier this year when he was arrested for stealing tattoo equipment.State police say that matched DNA found on Bruck's Halloween costume.
