Former Louisiana State trooper Ronald Thomas appeared Monday in court in Monroe.

MONROE -- Former Louisiana State trooper Ronald Thomas appeared Monday morning in 4th Judicial Court in Monroe for a pretrial hearing.

Thomas has been charged with payroll fraud, conspiracy to distribute cocaine, distribution of cocaine, malfeasance in office and obstruction of justice.

Attorney Charles Kincade told the court that he needed additional time to review the large amount of information he received in this case.
