SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - A former Scottsbluff Police captain accused of stealing drugs and money from the department's evidence room pleaded guilty to two felony charges Tuesday.
Brian Wasson, 52, pled guilty to two felony counts of theft by unlawful taking in excess of $5,000.
A judge set his bond at 10% of $5,000. His sentencing is scheduled for April 23 in Scottsbluff.
Wasson resigned from the police department in September of 2023. According to court documents, sometime between March 5, 2021 and April 15, 2023, Wasson stole drugs and money from the police department's evidence room.
