Mice Tamper With Police Evidence In Marijuana Case

Wichita Police investigated a case of tampering at an evidence storage facility - but it wasn't your typical suspect.

Yesterday, an evidence clerk at the facility on North Waco noticed at least three packages had been torn. Those packages contained marijuana, and some of it was missing.

Police investigated, and discovered mice were the culprits. It's believed the mice had been looking for food or nesting material, and they were attracted to the marijuana because of its strong odor.

Officers created a new case on the matter, which is standard protocol for any incident involving evidence.

No charges were filed against any of the rodents.
