CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - At least three weapons stolen during a break-in at the Stonewood Police Department have been recovered through an undercover buy-back operation.

Chairman John Walker says the Greater Harrison Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force worked through Monday night and Tuesday morning to recover a .45-caliber handgun, an M-14 rifle and a 12-gauge shotgun. Stonewood has only one officer.

Authorities have charged 28-year-old Dominic Sutherlin with three counts of transferring stolen firearms and distribution of a controlled substance. He was being held at the North Central Regional Jail on $200,000 bond Tuesday.

It was not immediately clear whether Sutherlin has an attorney.

Walker says Sutherlin was arrested while trying to sell the painkiller hydrocodone.

Harrison County Sheriff Albert Marano tells the Exponent Telegram nine other stolen weapons were also recovered.
