A Nashville man has been arrested after he sprinkled cocaine over the head of a police officer in an attempt to dispose if the evidence.
Antonio Freeman was stopped on a downtown Nashville street on Tuesday after officers say they spotted him rolling a marijuana joint.
According to the affidavit, when they approached, the 20-year-old attempted to hide the blunt by putting the papers and marijuana in his left pocket, The Tennessean reports.
Then, bizarrely, and in front of all three officers, he removed a clear bag of cocaine from the same pocket, crushed the bag in his hand, and sprinkled the drug over the head of Officer Ryan Caulfield and into the air, the affidavit states.
Freeman was arrested at the scene and charged with drug offences.
Officers salvaged around 2.5 grams of cocaine and found a set of scales in his pocket, and a pill bottle with marijuana residue near his genitals.
He currently being held on $5,000 bond on charges of possession of a schedule IV drug, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence.
He's due in court next month.
