STUART A hungry Stuart man's bite from a slice of pizza led to his arrest this week on a burglary charge. City police arrested Jamar Mackey, 27, Thursday after DNA results from a leftover slice of pizza allegedly linked him to a residential burglary from September.
The alleged burglary took place on Sept. 30 at a home on Dyer Drive, north of Monterey Road and west of Kanner Highway. According to police, Mackey entered the house, took a slice of pizza from a Mario's Pizza box in the garage and proceeded to the game room. In the game room, Mackey took two iPads, an XBox One game system and a bite from the slice of pizza.
A Stuart detective swabbed the bite mark from the pizza and sent the swab to a crime lab for DNA analysis. A search of the Combined DNA Index System identified Mackey as the suspect
