CHARLEVOIX COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Medical marijuana cases are creating a problem for the Charlevoix County Sheriff's Office.
The evidence room at the sheriff's department is overflowing with more than 60 marijuana plants.
The department is dealing with an increase in medical marijuana-related court cases and is having to store more marijuana plants until the cases are over.
They are now applying for a grant to buy a larger storage area to fit the plants and other evidence.
The money comes from state licensing fees for medical marijuana.
